LINDY DICKSON
Lindy Dickson has an MbChB (Cum Laude), a BCurationis (Cum Laude) and a MCurationis (Trauma & Critical Care) from the University of Natal. She commenced her undergraduate studies with a major in Social Anthropology, which stimulated her fascination with people and their interaction with each other and their belief systems and environment, especially within the realm of medicine. She developed a particular awareness of patient groups often marginalised within the traditional medical model during these studies, for which she then developed a strong interest. She worked for Netcare for several years, working in the Trauma, Transplant and ICU environments and then managing a clinical division in the KZN region.
